Westminster, Md. – (July 31, 2014) — Mindy Dunnigan was recently named Carroll Hospital Center’s July Volunteer of the Month. A volunteer at Carroll Hospital Center for close to two years, and a payroll system specialist in the hospital’s Finance Department, Mindy was chosen for her outstanding work in the Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary’s Candy Striper Gift Shop.
Each week Dunnigan spends an evening in the shop assisting customers with their purchases, and helping other volunteers in creating decorative window displays and organizing the store’s merchandise.
“Mindy’s friendliness and creativity make her a perfect gift shop volunteer. She enjoys interacting with our customers and is always eager to help volunteers at the store whenever needed,” Mary Richards, director of volunteer services at Carroll Hospital Center, said.
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary achievements of its volunteers. They are chosen based on length of service, hours of service or exemplary performance. Community members are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills to assist in Carroll Hospital Center’s important functions.
