FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Westminster, Md. – (July 31, 2014) — The Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary has rescheduled its Charity Day at Johansson’s Dining House, located at 4 West Main Street in Westminster, for Thursday, August 14.
From 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., 10 percent of all sales will be donated to the Auxiliary in support of Carroll Hospital Center’s new Tevis Center for Wellness, scheduled to open in October.
The event will include a free drawing for a mystery prize, a 50/50 cash raffle, a specialty drink inspired by the Downton Abbey theme of this year’s Auxiliary Gala, and guest bartenders from 6 to 9 p.m. Local celebrity bartenders, consisting of notable community members and Carroll Hospital Center staff, also will compete for tips in a friendly contest for the “Best Bartender” title. Their tips will be donated to the hospital. The guest bartenders include Darren Barnes, Steve Miller, Fred Bitzel, Doug Devilbiss, Jr., Pat Martin and Doug Brewer.
The fundraiser is being held as a prelude to the Auxiliary’s upcoming Masterpiece Evening Gala, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 1 at Martin’s Westminster. Tickets will go on sale in September.
The next Auxiliary Charity Day will be held at Gypsy's Tea Room on Tuesday, September 16 and Wednesday, September 17.
