Carroll Hospital Center to hold special nutritional screening program for cancer patients and survivors

Westminster, Md. – (March 13, 2014) — While proper nutrition and exercise are important in any stage of life, their importance during and after cancer treatment cannot be overstated. To assist cancer patients and cancer survivors in improving their quality of life and long-term health, Carroll Hospital Center is offering a special nutritional screening program called “The Nuts and Bolts of Health: Nutritional Screening and Exercise Evaluation.”
The program takes place on Wednesday, March 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. inside the Central Maryland Fitness Classroom, located at 844 Washington Road, Suite 209, in Westminster. During the screening a registered dietitian will conduct a nutritional screening survey, and give participants advice and resources. Following the screening attendees also will receive an individual exercise evaluation by a licensed physical therapist.
