Carroll Hospital Center to Offer Nutritional Screenings for National Nutrition Month

Westminster, Md. – (February 27, 2014) — March is National Nutrition Month®, a month dedicated to increasing everyone’s awareness of the importance of eating healthy and making physical activity a priority. In recognition of the month, Carroll Hospital Center is offering two nutritional screening programs to assist residents wanting to develop healthy eating habits that will improve their health.
For residents who exercise or participate in sports, Carroll Hospital Center is offering a “Sports/Athletic Nutritional Screening” on Wednesday, March 12 to provide participants with guidance on how their performance can be improved through proper nutrition.
Then, on Wednesday, March 26, Carroll Hospital Center is offering a “Nutritional Check-Up for Health” screening to assist residents wanting to know if they are on the right path with their nutritional health and well-being.
During the screenings a registered dietitian will conduct a nutritional screening survey, and give participants advice and resources they can use or review with their primary care physician, if necessary.
Both screening programs are $25 per person and take place at Carroll Hospital Center, located at 200 Memorial Avenue, in Westminster, Md. Appointments are required.
