FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Westminster, Md. – (January 28, 2014) — Benjamin Sacks was selected as Carroll Hospital Center’s January Volunteer of the Month. A volunteer at Carroll Hospital Center since 2012, Sacks was chosen for his outstanding work at the hospital. Sacks currently works in the hospital’s Volunteer Room where he takes requests for delivering mail or flowers to patients’ rooms, helps discharged patients as they leave the hospital, runs errands or works on clerical projects.
“Benjamin is a dedicated volunteer who takes volunteering very seriously and always gives 100 percent in every job he’s given,” said Mary Richards, director of volunteer services at Carroll Hospital Center. “While his regular schedule includes an afternoon and a morning shift, he often fills in for other volunteers when needed; even coming in on holidays and during winter storms.”
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary achievements of its volunteers. They are chosen based on length of service, hours of service or exemplary performance. Community members are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills to assist in Carroll Hospital Center’s important functions. For more information on how to volunteer, contact Volunteer Services at 410 871-7280.
