FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Westminster, Md. – (October 7, 2013) — Mike Grim, biomedical electronic technician, was named Carroll Hospital Center’s October Associate of the Month. A member of the Carroll Hospital Center staff for close to 16 years, Grim was nominated for his dedication to his job when he took the time, while on vacation, to assist staff members in repairing a problem with the equipment in a department.
“This was a prime example of Mike’s willingness to go above and beyond his call of duty,” Wayne Jenkins, Carroll Hospital Center’s biomedical manager, said. “Because of his strong loyalty to the hospital, he is a tremendous resource to many people in the organization. We are fortunate to have an associate like Mike as a member of the biomedical team at Carroll Hospital Center.”
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary achievements of members of the Carroll Hospital Center staff with a program called Associate WOW Service Awards. From those who are nominated to receive Associate WOW Service Awards each month, one Associate of the Month is chosen. And, from a year’s worth of Associate of the Month winners, one Associate of the Year is selected.
Community members and hospital staff members are encouraged to nominate a hospital staff member who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to his/her job in a variety of ways. For more information on how to nominate a Carroll Hospital Center staff member, contact the Human Resources Department at 410-871-6833.
