Westminster, Md. – (September 4, 2013) — Carroll Hospital Center recently announced a series of promotions affecting the leadership structure within the hospital. Leslie Simmons, R.N., FACHE, president of Carroll Hospital Center, announced the changes on August 22. The changes are designed to help the organization move forward to meet the growing health needs of the community and beyond.

Following is a list of the leadership role changes:

Bob Edmondson will continue in his position as chief strategy officer, but will now work closely with Carroll Hospital Center’s CEO John Sernulka and the hospital’s board of directors on corporate strategies and the growth of the Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO).

David Louder, M.D., vice president of physician partnerships, has added physician recruitment to his responsibilities, in addition to overseeing the operation and management of Carroll Health Group, the hospital's multispecialty practice group, and the hospital's PHO.

Ellen Finnerty Myers, C.F.R.E., has expanded her role to become vice president of business development and chief development officer. In this position she will work with the teams in business development, physician liaisons and wellness, in addition to her previous responsibilities overseeing the Carroll Hospital Center Foundation, Auxiliary, volunteers, marketing and public relations.

“These changes mark a significant move forward for our organization as we continue our mission to be the hospital of choice in the community. As the hospital continues to navigate the rapid changes in the health care industry and expand our services, I am confident these changes will enable us to further enhance the high quality care we provide,” Simmons said.

Carroll Hospital Center is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
