Leisa McDaniels, R.N., receives Carroll Hospital Center’s May DAISY Award

Westminster, Md. – (May 17, 2013) — Leisa McDaniels, R.N., was presented with Carroll Hospital Center’s May DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for 23 years, McDaniels was nominated by a patient’s family members for her compassion and outstanding care. “Leisa’s level of care is an example of what makes our hospital the best place to receive care,” Stephanie Reid, R.N., B.S.N., M.B.A., vice president of quality and chief nursing officer, said. “Her warmth, expertise and compassion allow her to connect with her patients and their family members, and reassures them that they are in the best hands when they need it the most.”
Carroll Hospital Center’s DAISY Award was created to honor outstanding health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize their extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
