Carroll Hospital Center Recognized as a Quadruple Winner of AWE Awards

Westminster, Md. – (April 23, 2013) — Carroll Hospital Center was recognized as a quadruple winner after being named a recipient of four coveted awards from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) on April 15. The hospital was one of 14 employers to be named a winner of the AWE’s Workplace Excellence Award, the Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award, the EcoLeadership Award and the newly launched Diversity Champion Award.
Carroll Hospital Center has been named a winner of the AWE’s awards for several years since entering the competition in 2007. This marks the seventh consecutive year, Carroll Hospital Center has received the AWE’s Workplace Excellence Award, Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award, the fourth consecutive year the hospital has received the AWE’s EcoLeadership Award and the first time the hospital has received the AWE’s new Diversity Champion Award.
To receive these awards the hospital underwent the AWE’s rigorous assessment process led by an independent review panel of professors, Ph.D. professionals and doctoral candidates in business, industrial and organizational psychology, and human resources.
The AWE awards highlight businesses across the United States that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home and in the community, as well as those dedicated to creating environmentally sustainable workplaces, and maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture within their organizations.
