Westminster, Md. – (March 13, 2013) — The members and Board of Directors of The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc. (The Partnership), and Carroll Hospital Center are pleased to announce the promotion of Dorothy Fox to executive director of The Partnership, effective March 10.  As executive director, Fox will lead all aspects of the organization’s corporate activities including its mission accomplishment, strategic planning, fiscal affairs and community health improvement operations.

A member of The Partnership since 2007, Fox most recently served as its director of operations and has played a pivotal role in the success of the non-profit organization that seeks to expand the capacity for health and quality of life within Carroll County.

Fox’s notable accomplishments include her assistance with community health needs assessments, her leadership with worksite wellness initiatives, and the implementation of an important program to encourage children and families to choose more fruits and vegetables and other healthy eating habits called It’s Crunch Time!

Fox was instrumental in the successful grant awarded to The Partnership from Kaiser Permanente of more than $200,000 to develop It’s Crunch Time, and in establishing the excellent cooperative relationship with Carroll County Public Schools and others to implement the program.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to lead The Partnership,” said Fox.  “I look forward to continuing our collaboration with individuals and organizations to connect people around a healthier community vision, to help inspire each of us to action and ultimately to strengthen our community.”

Carroll Hospital Center is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
