Carroll Hospital Center to host Sleep Awareness Day Celebration on May 7

Westminster, Md. – (April 15, 2013) — To raise awareness of the importance and benefits of sleep, Carroll Hospital Center’s is hosting its annual Sleep Awareness Day Celebration on Wednesday, May 1 from 2:30 to 7 p.m. The day-long event kicks off with a sleep fair in the hospital’s main lobby featuring exhibitors displaying the latest equipment to treat sleep apnea, and providing information on the condition and other health-related issues. Blood pressure screenings will also be offered to attendees.
During the evening, guests can also be educated on the importance of sleep to women, in particular, by attending a special presentation called Women & Sleep, featuring Michael Vietz, M.D., director of minimally invasive robotic and gynecologic surgery at Carroll Hospital Center.
The event is free and registration is required for the presentation. Attendees may enter to win a Sleep Awareness Day gift basket and other great prizes. Light refreshments will be served. To register or for more information, please call 410-871-7000.
