Walk Carroll is a free walking program for anyone who lives, works or worships in Carroll County, and all ages and physical activity levels are encouraged to participate.
Participants register online via the Walk Maryland website, created by the University of Maryland Extension, and log their miles walked.
Participants are encouraged to make their own personal walking goals, log them on the website and attend walking events to receive support, information and giveaways. The goal is for participants to develop regular physical activity habits, get healthier and more physically fit, and have fun!
The program kicks off on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Join Walk Carroll at the Carroll County Farm Museum any time from 9 a.m. to noon for guided walks of varying speeds and levels, activities for children, health information, local resources, social support in getting active, healthy snacks, T-shirts, pedometers and other free items!
