Carroll Hospital Center is pleased to announce that our organization ranked 79th in the 2014 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America!
The recognition was bestowed by Healthiest Employers, a leader in employee health analytics, best practices and benchmark data.
“The Healthiest 100 stand apart from other employers in three ways: their approach to health cost and risk data, how they incorporate cultural and employee considerations, and their expectations for their employee wellness teams,” said Andrew Lockerbie, strategic initiatives director at Healthiest Employers, in a statement.
This latest workplace wellness acknowledgment demonstrates that our organization is committed to helping its Associates maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Our latest effort is our newly implemented results-based wellness program. All participating Associates receive a health risk assessment that identifies their risk of major health conditions, and they are connected with a health navigator who helps them reach their goals based on their individual health needs.
In addition to the wellness program, we have expanded the group activities we offer for our Associates. A recent event was the YMCA’s Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, with nearly 60 Associates taking part in the 5K, and we plan on offering similar group health and wellness events in the future.
Just as we’re committed to being a healthy workplace, we are equally committed to providing programs and resources to the public to ensure that our community members will maintain the highest attainable level of good health throughout their lives. One of the ways we are fulfilling that commitment is through the Tevis Center for Wellness, a new wellness and education center slated to open on our campus this fall. The center will host conference space for healthy living and learning opportunities, an expanded resource library, a health and wellness boutique, complementary health services and more.
