Congratulations to Melissa Frank, R.N., and Doris Hallford, on being named as November’s DAISY Award winner and Volunteer of the Month!
Started by the DAISY Foundation, the DAISY Award honors a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse for his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
Melissa Frank, R.N., was honored for her tremendous display of compassion, kindness and empathy. She deeply touched the lives of a patient in need of hospice care and her daughter. Melissa went above and beyond to make sure that the patient’s daughter would be able to be with her mother during her final days.
November’s Volunteer of the Month, Doris Hallford, has volunteered for two years and finds great fulfillment in her assignment at the Information Desk.
Being caring and compassionate has been Doris’ strong suit throughout her career, whether in administration or as an occupational therapist at Green Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, where she retired from several years ago.
Thank you, Melissa and Doris, for your exceptional service!
