Buildings Continue to Take Shape

I would like to share the latest progress in the construction of the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center and the Tevis Center for Wellness.

Our newest aerial photo, taken last Saturday, really shows the building taking shape.

You can see that the new cancer center’s basement floor has concrete, and all of the first floor footings and foundations are complete.

We also poured the floors for the cancer center’s two linear accelerator vaults earlier this week, and we are beginning to build forms for the vaults’ concrete roof. We are now completing all of the underground utilities for the new first floor, and that slab will be poured next week. Lastly, we will start erecting steel with the steel crane on September 30.

Each day, the construction team works hard to make significant progress on our new buildings, and it is a true pleasure to watch the progress week after week.
