Health Chat Celebrates First Anniversary
0

How time flies! It’s been one year since the hospital began its weekly radio show, the Carroll Hospital Center Health Chat. Airing every Tuesday morning on WTTR AM 1470, the health chat has been an insightful and informative program to educate our community about health issues and the abundance of services Carroll Hospital Center and its affiliates offer.

For the past year on the show, experts at our hospital have talked about a range of issues that mattered to our community’s health.  The show launched in July 2012 with oncologist Dr. Flavio Kruter, medical director of the Carroll Regional Cancer Center, discussing cancer and the many cancer services available at the cancer center and The Women’s Place.  He then returned a few months later to discuss the upcoming expansion of our hospital’s cancer services with the construction of our highly anticipated William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center.

Other topics our experts discussed on the show have included tips on being safe in the sundiabetes, behavioral health, heart health, home care services and our vast minimally invasive surgery options.

And, we have many more topics to discuss in the future. We are committed to being the hospital of choice for our community, and we have the awards, expert staff, technologies and services to live up to this mission. That’s why we’ll continue to give you information on health issues that may affect you, a family member or friend, and we’ll inform you of the health care services we provide through our radio program.

So don’t miss the Carroll Hospital Center Health Chat every Tuesday at 8:40 a.m. on AM 1470, WTTR, or listen to previous chats on our website.

Simone Lindsay is a communications specialist at Carroll Hospital Center.
